Allow Us to Introduce Ourselves

The Owners

Amber Wodtli, LMT and Kelly Chambers, L.Ac have combined experience of over 35 years in integrative health care and continuing education. Kelly's study of Classical Chinese Medicine and Modern Trauma Integration intertwines with Amber's decades of experience, rooted in sports and therapeutic massage.

Kelly and Amber were introduced in 2012.  Each was inspired by the other’s perspective and how that enriched their own understanding of a shared approach to healing. Their passion for facilitating the use of natural remedies, movement, meditation, and manual therapies, led to the collaborative creation of advanced training for healthcare practitioners.  In their 12 years working together, a grassroots movement toward the future of medicine arose.

Their intention is to bring continuing health care education into a more open, equitable and engaging era, where we honor the roots of medicine, highlight the deep wisdom of our ancestors, and braid these strands with the advances of modern science.

MEET KELLY

Owner and Operator of MoonTree Medicine, LLC and also an independent contractor at Hawthorn Healing Arts Center in Bend, Oregon, has studied Chinese Medicine for over a decade. She applies her passion for healing with ancient Eastern practices, in order to better serve her community. As a Licensed Acupuncturist focusing in Classical and Taoist approaches to health and balance, Kellie utilizes several modalities including Acupuncture, Asian Bodywork, Chinese Nutritional and Herbal Medicine, Qigong Therapies, Cupping, Gua sha, Moxa, Sound therapy and Essential Oils in her treatment sessions.

Kellie’s love of plants and nature led her to a B.S. in Botany and Plant Pathology at Oregon State University. But it was her awareness of Qi (and several Aikido injuries) that led her to earn a Master of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine in Portland, Oregon. Kellie went on to train with Dr. “flying needle” Wong, in her post graduate study at the NanJing International College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in NanJing, China. She passionately passes along her knowledge of this ancient tradition of practice to the next generation of Healers, teaching Cupping and Gua Sha Workshops (through Cupping Dynamix, LLC) all over the greater Northwest Region to Acupuncturists, Physical Therapist, Nurses, Massage Therapists, and many more, wishing to add some Eastern wisdom to their varied approaches to healing.

Kellie has been studying meditation in many forms for the past 16 years. She is a Ling Gui Certified Master QiGong instructor and continues as a student of Taoist medicine with the Ling Gui International Healing School of Qigong. In addition to treating patients, Kellie offers weekly Qi-Gong classes and in-depth weekend workshops on a seasonal basis. She adds to her qigong instruction with a background in Aikido and Zen style Meditation as well as a 200 hours yoga teacher certification, specializing in Yin yoga.

MEET AMBER

With over 21 years of experience, Amber's expertise in teaching and practicing the art of massage ranges from Deep Tissue Sports Massage and Myofascial release, to Neuromuscular Therapies and Cupping. Her main focus in bodywork is geared toward working with amateur and professional athletes, and educating clients on the benefits of recovery and self-care. As a 13 year teacher, Amber's dedication to her students and their educational experience is held in high regard. Her continued pursuance of knowledge concerning the body—its symmetry and structure - is not only evident in her practice and her teaching but also in her way of life.

For her, the human body is a fascinating machine, a genuine work of art. She wholly believes and embodies the sentiment that true power comes from within, and she sees the power of touch as a healing and sustainable way to connect with the self and realize one’s full potential.

The journey into teaching collaborative continuing education began the day she met Kelly Chambers in 2012. As teaching colleagues they quickly began to realize that there is great benefit from sharing perspectives and gaining a deeper understanding of the true nature of Holistic Health. She discovered new and resourceful ways to blend ancient traditions of bodywork with modern day therapeutic methods for phenomenal results. She started teaching Cupping and Gua Sha workshops with Kelly in 2009 with the hope of sharing this wonderful ancient art with the bodywork community. From there the grass roots effort of collaborative “East meets West” education quickly evolved into a true collective that branches out into many different realms of Integrative Health.
